Ruby only cried for a minute and when Santa gave her a cany cane, she felt much better! I'm so excited for Christmas because I can't wait to see my childrens' reactions Christmas morning. Santa has some good surprises and Scott and I have both been able to squeeze a little time in for some homemade gifts for our little ones. This is a tradition I grew up with at the Park house and when the kids are a little bit bigger I would like them to make gifts for each other. I have a lot of great memories of creative gift ideas. When I was seven or eight I sewed some "reel" bags for my Dad's fishing stuff and wrote "real" on them. I remember my Mom telling me to spell it, "reel", but I knew that wasn't how you spelled "real" and I wondered why I needed to write anything on the bags, of course they were real! Thinking about that now, it sounds like something Sam would do.
To celebrate Christmas our church put together a beautiful Christmas program for the community. There were a couple of hours of musical performances and the building was decorated with a Christmas forest of themed trees and nativities from all over the world. It was wonderful and really brought the Christmas spirit. I was happy to be able to participate in the music. I played the flute with our church choir and also a solo accompanied by my friend Allison. I sang with our church choir and sang a duet with my friend Kim. My favorite was singing with my husband while he played guitar. It took a lot of convincing for him to participate, since he wouldn't be able to perform "rock" and jump off of anything, but he was wonderful and I hope we can do more things in the future.
Merry Christmas everyone!
Please tell me you have video of this "concert", we must see the footage!
