Before the summer started Owen had his 8th birthday. This is a big birthday because Owen had the opportunity to be baptized. We are so pleased with his decision and it was a very special day. Owen also played soccer this Spring.
Our summer events included cub scout camp for the boys, swim camp for the three older kids, camping and fishing, a visit from cousins including a day trip to NYC and finally a stay in Virginia while Scott and I went to North Carolina for my brother's wedding.

The first day of school was exciting. Sam started 5th grade, Owen 3rd grade and Ruby kindergarten. The boys are having very good years so far and are right on track academically and making friends easily.
Ruby had a much harder adjustment to Kindergarten than I expected. She is so creative, busy and social that I thought she would be excited for each day school. It is better now, but she didn't want to go to school at first. All of the sudden she was shy. I struggled with her every morning just to get her out of bed, to eat, get dressed, etc. I spoke with her teacher and was able to come and help in the classroom and see how Ruby is doing once she is at school. Everything is great once she gets there. I guess she just isn't a morning person.
Grandma and Grandpa Park came for a visit in September. We fished, played with Legos and did lots of baking. After a fun and relaxing visit, we got ready for our Disney World vacation...
