Ruby's Hair

Ruby is growing up so fast. She is very independent and refuses a sippy cup and her booster chair at dinner. She does let me do her hair, if she is watching Mickey Mouse. I was able to do french braids! She will be two in a few weeks and I can't believe it! Right now she adores dogs and is so fun to watch her pretend play and the dogs call each other "mommy" and they have beds in various places around the house; in shoes, pots and pans and the blender. Sam has been a good big brother and plays kitchen and store with her. Unfortunately, they also played barber shop, because Sam cut Ruby's hair in the back right at the top of her head. It sticks straight up. I was a lot more upset with him than the time he cut his own hair to the scalp right in the front. With boys it's easy, you just shave their head, but with girls you have to wait for it to grow back. Gel and hairspray help, too.
