On the way home from Virginia we stopped to visit Gettysburg. We did a quick visit and saw the cyclorama and explored the battlefield of Little Round Top. Sam really enjoys learning about history. Both the boys like "old fashioned things", but their favorite part of most museums we visit is the gift shop. I enjoy that we live so close to many historical spots and I hope that as our children visit these places it will have an impact on them. It definitely impacts me to think of the sacrifices so many people made to do the right thing and give strength to a young nation.

ReplyDeletesounds like lots of fun! If you have a chance, in Philadelphia is a great museum called the Franklin Institute. It is a great "hands on" museum.
