Here we are singing, "Ruby the Rose" an original song that Scott wrote about our lovely girl. Ruby wanted to "dance" at our church annual children's talent show. However, Ruby is a free spirit and I knew that if I tried to choreograph a short dance routine for her set to song, she would have none of it, or maybe be too shy to do anything. So, while the rest of us sang and played, Ruby danced her own steps. She was especially excited to wear "dress-ups" outside of the house. Sam and Owen are both excellent singers and Scott played guitar and harmonica. The night before I picked up the ukuele for the first time and Scott taught me a few chords. I did my best to keep up and we had a lot of fun performing. The kids also displayed their Lego creations and artwork. With all of the things we had to remember that morning, we failed to bring a camera. A friend took this picture of us, but sadly we have no video footage.
So AWESOME! Wish we could be there with you. Let us know if you see any librarian positions open up around town. I graduate in June. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove it! So sad to have missed it! Ruby sounds like Molly: loves to dance and wear dress-ups.
