Unicorns and Rainbows

Ruby celebrated her 5 year old birthday. What she wanted the most at her party was a unicorn pinata. I decided to do everything unicorns and rainbows for her birthday and thought I would easily be able to find everything I needed, but unicorns were hard to come by. I ended up making the pinata out of a cereal box and a mac and cheese box. I visited a handful of stores before finding unicorn stickers, and they only had one sheet left.

However the Internet was full of great ideas. Ruby's friends painted unicorn pictures, made their own unicorn rainbow fruit kabobs to have with their spaghetti and unicorn horn bread sticks dinner. The pinata was a big hit (ha ha). The girls very quickly knocked off head and limbs, but were not able to open it up, so Scott took a big swing at it and candy went flying everywhere. They also had a unicorn scavenger hunt and of course presents and cake.
