The reunion was an expansive gathering of Bethany's seven siblings and families all of which live out west (except for her parents currently residing in Ukraine and still came). Her parents are at twenty grand children now, including two sweet baby twins that were passed around from family member to family member. We stayed at a very large and lovely lodge near a lake in Island Park, Idaho. Sam and Owen had a great time with their cousins. Not only did they get to see Yellowstone, but Uncle Kris took them out on the boat and let them drive. Grandpa caught a fish, too! There was lots of good food, fun games, and smores over the fire.
We also visited Utah while on this great western vacation. We took the kids to see
BYU, our Alma Mater. We also saw our little old house we owned in Provo and it hasn't changed. (I included a picture of Scott and Sam by the garden we had there. I don't think we'll be able to duplicate it here in Connecticut.) We saw the dinosaur museum at
Thanksgiving Point. We visited friends and relatives and ate at some old favorite restaurants,
The Brick Oven and
Cafe Rio.
Glad to hear you made it back safely. It was great to see you! And it's fun to see your photos! I'm glad you got a photo of the lodge - I totally forgot. I will put all of my photos & video on a CD and mail it to you soon (assuming you are doing a family DVD again). I am working on our trip posts so you can read all about our adventures on my blog.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures - I stole a few. :)
ReplyDeleteIt was great to see you all at the reunion. I wish I would have had more brain power when we were there. It was great to see your family. Your kids are getting so big.
