Bethany's parents recently came for a short visit. They managed in two weeks to travel and visit all of their 8 children and 22 grandchildren before leaving for an 18-month church mission to Ukraine.
The weather was lovely and we spent a day at the beach. The water was cool but Sam and Owen jumped right in. Ruby was a little more apprehensive. Owen did some push-ups to wash the sand off his tummy before we left. Ruby asks everyday if we are going to the beach, so I think she liked it.
Sam had a lot of fun playing animals with Grandma. Grandpa and Owen couldn't be happier to escape downstairs and play legos. Ruby has been pointing out where her knuckles are, where my knuckles are and everyone else's knuckles since Grandpa taught her. We ate yummy food and had Grandpa's favorite, spice cake with butterscotch frosting and homemade vanilla ice cream for his early birthday.
